![]() On one hand, this feels like the perfect type of game for the Switch, with missions that rarely last more than five minutes that can be picked up and played with little fanfare. Between missions, you’ll listen to inane dialogue that’ll further flesh out the story between characters and factions, but otherwise, Daemon X Machine keeps things simple. Each mission has a distinct objective, and it’s here where you’ll earn most of the money and components, you’ll need to upgrade your arsenal. The general gameplay loop sees you fitting out your mech and heading out on missions. It’s a great little world that’s set up well in the opening moments of the game, but it quickly becomes clear that it’s all build-up with no pay-off especially with twists that are predictable.ĭaemon X Machina is at its core as a mech combat game, not unlike titles such as Zone of the Enders or Armored Core. You join a group of mercenaries to hunt down immortals, giant boss types enemies who walk the world, which has suffered from collapse following a collision with the moon. You play as the Rookie, a pilot of sorts who is naturally gifted at piloting mechs called Arsenals. There’s no debating it, Daemon X Machina tells a trope-laden anime-style story filled with pseudo drama. But it tries its hardest toĭifferentiate itself in the process which is to be commended. ![]() X Machina, which is coincidentally produced by a handful of Armored Core alumni,įalls into the same traps of its predecessors. This vein have problems with providing a full and well-rounded package. Growing up but not ones without their faults. Armored Core and to a lesser extent, Chromehounds were games that I loved Are some of my favourites, but unfortunately not really a niche that’s visited

The page with cunt-struck (also discussed back in 2015 after an appearance on Four Corners) as a running head was adjusted slightly to bring the more innocuous headword cup back, and so become the running head. The publishing director, Dan O’Keefe, had gone through the pages just before the dictionary went to print, looking for running heads (those bold guide words at the top of each page) that could be offensive to more delicate readers. After all, this was a fully descriptive dictionary, containing the gamut of Australian English. The vice-chancellor of Macquarie University, Professor Edwin Webb (below left), made a short speech before asthmatically fleeing into the night, away from the wattle, to which he was highly allergic.Ĭopies of the new dictionary were pored over, favourite Australianisms were looked up, cries of 'It’s in!' were heard throughout the evening. A green and gold cocktail was invented for the occasion (see recipe below), the room was festooned with wattle, and eminent historian, Manning Clark, carried out the launching honours. Over to you – do you think these words are worthy of a place in the Macquarie Dictionary?įorty years ago, on 21 September 1981, the first edition of Australia’s national dictionary, the Macquarie Dictionary, was launched. Rounding things out for this month are magnet fishing, a straightforward coinage for the novel concept of searching for metal objects in bodies of water using magnets, and toolbox talk, a pleasantly alliterative term for an informal meeting in a workplace at which matters of health and safety are discussed. If, for example, a date’s propensity to spend too much money would be a red flag for you, then all the photographs of their many different lewks posted to social media might be a yellow one. However, you might not be aware of lewk, which means (essentially) an especially distinctive look and is appropriately dressed in a new and unusual spelling and pronunciation (which evokes a blend of look and ooh).ĭid you know that a yellow flag on a ship indicates it’s in a state of quarantine, and that a yellow flag in motor racing warns drivers there’s a hazard on the track? Well, now a yellow flag can be anything that draws attention to a possible problem, serving as an alert for caution. You’ve almost certainly heard of the fashion-related sense of look – as in, for example, ‘a fresh summer look’. There’s a similar sort of playfulness between another of this month’s words and its etymon. But were you aware that sea change itself originates from a line in The Tempest? Nowadays, even the words Shakespeare helped coin are getting modern adaptations… It’s a cute play on sea changer and is very close in meaning to that term, except that sea changers typically move to the coast and need not be remote workers. It refers to a remote worker who moves from a city to a rural location as part of a lifestyle change. ![]() My favourite of the five words we’ve curated for you this month is e-changer. It is a thin liquid that glides so well on the skin and blends effortlessly on it. Let me start with the consistency of the foundation. Fragrance : No specific fragrance but is not bad.Color : According to your skin shade (comes in 6 shades). It states that it gives a matte finish look to your skin and also adds that it is suitable for oily skin. Product Description: The foundation claims that they have undergone major testing after concluding that they deliver flawless makeup look every time. Today, I am going to share my review of one of their products called the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation. It gave me the coverage that I wanted, it lasted pretty much all day and it didn’t feel heavy on my skin or accentuate my texture.Īnd there you have it, my thoughts on the Wet n Wild Photo Focus foundation.Wet N Wild has recently launched in India. Will I repurchase: Yes, despite the shade range not being great at all, I really enjoyed using this foundation. Below is a swatch as well as what it looks like blended in. I really hope that we get more shades, and soon as this really does put a damper on all the hype around this foundation. How are 5 shades going to cater to our diverse market? Of course, I couldn’t find my perfect match, and so I had to take one that is slightly too dark for me (Classic Beige) and I use lightening drops. Shades: Oh man, this is where I was so, so, so disappointed! If you look on the international Wet n Wild site, there are 20 shades available, and it’s a pretty decent selection. In terms of oxidation, I didn’t notice any on my skin but of course, every skin is different. Another point to note is that I have been wearing this foundation when it’s been super hot, and so I think that it will probably wear even better during the colder months, when our make up isn’t sliding off of our face. Since then, I have always worn a primer and the wear time has been so much better, clocking in at about 7 hours before things start going downhill. Wear: The first time I wore this foundation, it was without a primer and it only lasted about 3 hours before starting to break up around my oily areas. You do need to work fairly quickly as the foundation dries down relatively quickly, but it’s a pretty easy product to blend which helps. I have found that the best way for me to apply this is to paint stripes on my face (like you would with a stick foundation) and then blend it out with a damp foundation sponge, I use one from Real Techniques. No where near what a dewy foundation would give you, and it definitely is 90% matte, but there is a very slight luminosity to my skin once I have applied it.Īpplication: Okay, so I am really not a fan of the spatula applicator, I would have much preferred a pump. On days that I want a more sheer look, I just make sure that my foundation sponge is a lot more damp.įinish: Although Wet n Wild claims that this foundation gives a matte finish, I would say that it does give an ever so subtle glow. I don’t think you can get quite full coverage from it, but you can get pretty darn close. Packaging: I quite enjoy the casing, the bottle is made of glass so it’s pretty sturdy and the black lid looks good.Ĭonsistency: this foundation has a more medium consistency which really helps when it comes to application, you’ll see what I mean in a minute.Ĭoverage: I would peg the Wet n Wild foundation as a medium coverage, but buildable. In terms of finish, the Wet n Wild Foundation gives a matte look. What makes this foundation so popular is that it has been tested under seven different light conditions to make sure that you are always camera ready. ![]() It claims to be a high-performing, skin perfecting foundation that will give you flawless looking skin. ![]() Product: as I mentioned, the Wet n Wild Photo Focus has been wildly popular since being released overseas. The Secret Board is one of my favourite beauty blogs, I just love how thorough Mariska is and I really enjoy the format she uses, it’s just really well thought out, so I asked her if I could borrow that format for this post, thanks Mariska! And so, without further ado, here is my review of the Wet n Wild Photo Focus foundation. Well, it turns out that I had a bit of a wait, and a search ahead of me, it seems as though this foundation was eagerly anticipated by every single beauty lover in the country! Eventually, two weeks ago, I found some stock, picked one up and began testing it out. When the Photo Focus range finally hit our shores, I rushed out to my nearest Clicks to go and pick one up. Woohoo, finally, a new beauty post, and it’s a real goodie! The Wet n Wild Photo Focus foundation has been hot stuff all over the international beauty community for the last year and is said to be a dupe for many high end foundations, sounds pretty fab, right? ping qnapts-431 - returned 4 successful pings of 1ms each. nslookup qnapts-431 - returned the full computer name of the NAS and the IP address. I meant "Enterprise" in this context as " AD", I am more than aware of the strengths and weaknesses of SBS2003. The SBS was a Swiss army knife of castrated versions of a number of Microsoft server products (Exchange, SQL etc.), which are intended for side-by-side migrations/upgrades, requiring skills a typical SBS owner wouldn't have - as well as generally being a lot easier when migrating to the full versions of those products than to WSE, the replacement for SBS. The original poster should try to migrate off it before the end of support, but if they won't, I know why: it's a royal pain in the posterior. "SB" in "SBS" happens to stand for "Small Business" and quite rightfully so.
